Fri 6/13 Creative Wellbeing Meetup 7pm
Friday - June 13 - 7:00-9:00pm
Ages: 14+
Description: Remainders Analog Hangout with Typewriters Anonymous:
Unplug and reconnect with your creativity! Join us for a relaxed, guided session where the focus is on process over product, reflection over perfection. Tap into the lost arts of letter writing and poetry using classic typewriters — each keystroke a rhythm of expression. Whether you’re finishing a letter you’ve been meaning to send or adding a line to our community poem, come hang out, create for the sake of creating, and experience connection through shared moments.
All Materials Included
Instructor: Typewriters Anonymous was founded by Phillip and Elisabeth Nails. They facilitate interactive experiences that provide people with a moment of mindfulness amidst the jubilee of togetherness. Phillip T. Nails (he/him/his) is a performance poet and founding director of Typewriters Anonymous. He holds a certificate in Social Emotional Arts & Healing Facilitation from UCLA’s Arts & Healing Initiative. Elisabeth Nails, MSW, PPSC (she/her) is a program specialist at the Los Angeles County Department of Arts and Culture where she manages Creative Wellbeing, an approach that integrates arts and mental health strategies to support social-emotional development, community connections, and healing from trauma.
Location: This class will take place in the Room 7 Performance Space in the back of the building next to Donations.
Note: LATE ARRIVALS NOT ADMITTED ONCE CLASS HAS BEGUN
Class Refund Policy: Please email remainders.edu@gmail.com with your name and order number at least 48 hours before the class to receive a refund. A 20% cancellation fee applies.
