Wed 10/22 Fantastic Headdress, 6pm
Wednesday - October 22 - 6:00-8:00pm
Ages: 12+
Description: Just in time for Halloween! Get inspired and learn how to unleash your inner artist and diva in a fun workshop focused on creating your own headdress. We will look at the significance of headdresses in cultures around the world, both historically and in current times. Using a vast array of unusual elements and techniques, we’ll explore ways to create fun narrative art pieces that help you tap into different parts of your creativity and tell stories individually and collaboratively.
Materials Included: All necessary tools and materials
Instructor: Kelly Dennís Villalba is a visual artist focused on creating unique sculptural artworks to reimagine the idea of the traditional practices. She also enjoys working with analog collage because of how accessible the materials are. She recently moved to Los Angeles from New Jersey, and has lead art studio workshops independently and for art museum audiences geared towards community members and students aged pre-k-adult. Her favorite thing about teaching is being able to share techniques and see students express themselves creatively through the medium. www.kellyvillalba.com and Instagram: @kellybleugreen.
Location: All classes take place UPSTAIRS in our CREATIVE SPACE unless otherwise noted. Use the exterior stairs on the side of the building to enter.
Note: LATE ARRIVALS NOT ADMITTED ONCE CLASS HAS BEGUN
Class Refund Policy: Please email remainders.edu@gmail.com with your name and order number at least 48 hours before the class to receive a refund. A 20% cancellation fee applies.
Because we need time to fill vacant spots, there are no refunds with less than 48 hours notice.
