Saturday - August 2 - 1:00-3:00pm
Ages: 14+
Description: Learn this unique and fun technique, made from narrow torn strips of various printed cotton fabrics, then re-woven, in a plain weave or basket weave design, with soft raw edges visible. It can be used for a pillow top, or to make part of a garment, or apply to an existing garment. You will make a sample square, approximately 12”X12”. Some machine stitching may be used.
Materials Included: Sewing machines, fabrics and all necessary tools and materials.
Instructor: Kay Enyart is a Pattern Professor, Pattern Designer and textile consultant with over 30 years of experience. Most recently teaching at The Art Center her past accomplishments include working with Mood Fabrics, The Sewing Arts Center and Perpetual Motion Films. She earned a B.S. at UCLA and attended the Beverly Hills Design Institute. Kay is also an active member of several Museums and Sewing societies around the world.
Location: All classes take place UPSTAIRS in our CREATIVE SPACE unless otherwise noted. Use the exterior stairs on the side of the building to enter.
