Sun 2/16 Learn to use a Serger, 1pm
Sunday - February 16 - 1:00-3:00pm
Ages: 14+
Prerequisite: You must know how to sew on a traditional machine. This is not a beginner class.
Description: This very small class is for those who have never used a serger (overlock) sewing machine. We cover the threading of the machine and what the machine can do, like stitch variations and stitch length and width. Students may make a sampler of stitches to have for reference.
Materials Included: Sewing machines, fabrics and all necessary tools and materials
Instructor: Lauren Fonville is a sewing specialist, patternmaker and custom costumer with over 20 years of experience. She has worked on blockbuster films, prestige television series and Broadway-bound productions. A native Angeleno, she recently returned to Los Angeles after studying and working in Paris, France for two years.
Location: All classes take place UPSTAIRS in our CREATIVE SPACE unless otherwise noted. Use the exterior stairs on the side of the building to enter.
Note: LATE ARRIVALS NOT ADMITTED ONCE CLASS HAS BEGUN
