Tue 1/21 Sewing With Knit Fabric 5pm

Ages: 14+
Description: This is an intermediate level class for people who know how to use a sewing machine. Get ready for warm weather by learning to sew with knits. Fabric is provided but students are welcome to bring their own if they prefer. Recommended fabrics: lightweight stretch knit, t-shirt cottons, any knit fabrics.
Materials Included: Sewing machines, fabrics and all necessary tools and materials
Instructor: Amanda has taught middle/ elementary school for over 12 years and discovered garment sewing in 2018 by making a simple woven top and was immediately hooked. Since then, she has learned many more sewing techniques & skills while working toward a goal of crafting a completely handmade wardrobe. Sewing has helped her find more joy and acceptance of my her body, cultivate a sense of environmental stewardship, and develop mindful clothing practices. She hopes to share this feeling of confidence and empowerment with others on their sewing journey. Her approach toward garment sewing is mindful, sustainable, and inclusive of all sized bodies.
Location: All classes take place UPSTAIRS in our CREATIVE SPACE unless otherwise noted. Use the exterior stairs on the side of the building to enter.
Note: LATE ARRIVALS NOT ADMITTED ONCE CLASS HAS BEGUN
