Fri 4/10 Poetry Zines 6pm

$30.00

Friday - April 10 - 6:00-8:00pm

Ages: 12+

Description: Students will learn that it is SO easy to make zines. You will leave the workshop with a fully-finished zine and instructions on how to scan/replicate it as well for future use! There will be an exercise at the beginning of class together, then branch off to work on projects while we talk about poetry techniques or art ideas

Materials: All materials provided, but participants are encouraged to bring additional images if you like.

Instructor: Aspen Leavitt, is a published author of illustrated poetry ("Happy Here," 2024) and has longed to show people how to make their own lives into poetry. As an LA-based artist, poet, and all around life enthusiast, he is passionate about any creative projects, but especially ones that have to do with sustainability, human rights, or just good, old-fashioned fantasy concepts.

Location: All classes take place UPSTAIRS in our CREATIVE SPACE unless otherwise noted. Use the exterior stairs on the side of the building to enter.

Note: LATE ARRIVALS NOT ADMITTED ONCE CLASS HAS BEGUN

Class Refund Policy: Please email toban@remainders.org with your name and order number at least 48 hours before the class to receive a refund. A 20% cancellation fee applies.
Because we need time to fill vacant spots, there are no refunds with less than 48 hours notice.
