Description: Inspired by the work of Berenice Sydney, this workshop is focused on using color and line in bold and playful ways to create one-of-a-kind monoprints. We’ll discover the different ways a monoprint can be produced (including using print-making techniques and blocks, paint, and collage) and draw on Syndey’s bold and playful use of color and line to create unique art pieces.

Materials Included: All necessary tools and materials

Instructor: Alex Carter is a printmaker and artist who enjoys working in multiple media and on a wide range of project types. Raised in LA, she’s had a wide ranging career, ranging from classroom teaching to theme park design, and is excited to share her love of creating art with all ages. Location: All classes take place UPSTAIRS in our CREATIVE SPACE unless otherwise noted. Use the exterior stairs on the side of the building to enter.
