Prerequisite: Geared toward the returning sewer or advanced beginner who knows how to use a sewing machine.
Description: In this class you will learn to make a small zipper bag and further your sewing knowledge by learning best practices and new techniques including “sewing math”, seam allowances putting in a zipper and more. This is the perfect class for a sewer that wants to learn the fundamentals of taking ideas and making them a reality.
Materials Included: Sewing machines, fabric and all necessary tools, but also feel free to bring your own fabric.
Instructor: Koalani Walkoe is a professional costume and fashion designer who also enjoys teaching sewing to others. She started sewing at a very young age and attended FIDM to study Fashion and Costume Design. After working for 7 years in the fashion industry she transitioned to teaching introductory sewing classes to groups and private classes to individuals.
