Week 1: Machine Basics: Students will learn machine parts, threading, and basic stitches by practicing first on paper and then fabric.
Week 2: Students will be working with non-stretch (woven) fabrics to help them build foundational sewing skills such as stitch variations, stitch length and width, zig zag capabilities and decorative stitches.
Week 3: Students will introduced to a simple project to be completed during class, allowing for some creativity and personalization within the project.
Parent Requirements: Upstairs - drop off & sign in all students; pick up and sign out all students; Parents are free to stay for the class to assist your child; parents will be called to pick up their child immediately if there is an attitude or discipline issue.
