Sat 3/8 Kids Art Journaling 1pm

$20.00

Saturday - March 8 - 1:00-2:30pm

Ages: 8-15

Note: Each art journaling class will offer different activities for those taking multiple sessions.

Description: This class will allow children to explore different art mediums and learn to combine them to create mixed media art. This will help them feel comfortable using various mediums and will allow them to figure out what types of art making they enjoy. This is an explorative, open ended class but prompts will be provided if desired. Every class your child will create 1 (or more if they so desire) pages for their art journal. These pages can be created on either mixed media paper or cardboard. If they want to take multiple art journal classes, your child's art journal will get thicker. This can be easily continued at home if you plan on only taking one class. The knowledge gained about different mediums will extend past class, as your children will be able utilize the skills they have learned about each medium whenever desired.

Materials Included: Basic collaging supplies and an assortment of safe tools and materials

Instructor: Paloma Brenek is a multidisciplinary local artist who loves working with a variety of art mediums, including but not limited to sewing, stained glass, and painting. She has extensive experience working with children and enjoys combining many different techniques and materials.
