Friday - April 24 - 4:00-5:30pm

Ages: 8-14

Description: · This freeform art activity encourages kids to be present and focus as they mindfully create multiple lines, by pushing two coins with a marker and observing their path across the paper. Round out the edges of intersecting lines and watch the piece transform before your eyes! Students will learn about shading and color each section observing how they can make something beautifully meditative and artistic. This is a perfectly easy and accessible method of art to experience the calming effect of freeform drawing.

Parent Requirements: Upstairs - drop off & sign in all students; pick up and sign out all students; Parents are free to stay for the class to assist your child; parents will be called to pick up their child immediately if there is an attitude or discipline issue.

Materials Included: All necessary tools and materials.

Instructor: Sarena (she/they) is an artist, yogi, and self-compassion enthusiast! She has a BFA in animation and feels a profound sense of purpose through community-centered initiatives. Her favorite way to explore creativity is through “play”  where she tries to create without judgment, expectation, or rigidity. Sarena’s desire is to express herself with love & authenticity and to help others do the same – especially for the Queer and Neurodivergent community, through the wonderful world of art. 

Location: Upstairs in our Creative Space. Use the exterior stairs on the side of the building to enter.

Note: LATE ARRIVALS NOT ADMITTED ONCE CLASS HAS BEGUN
