Description: In this class, we’ll explore Abstract Expressionism through the vibrant and dynamic work of Alma Woodsey Thomas. Known for her colorful, mosaic-like compositions, Thomas’s art celebrates movement, rhythm, and joyful use of color. Using markers, oil pastels, and watercolor, students will create their own cards and artworks inspired by her signature style while experimenting with pattern, layering, and creative expression.
Materials Included: All necessary tools and materials
Instructor: To Jennifer Hafner art is not just a creative outlet, it's a therapeutic journey of self-discovery and boundless fun. She has lived in Pasadena for 23 years and wants to give back to the community and help people find their artistic flow. Most recently she has been playing with watercolors and mixed media and enjoys sharing easy watercolor techniques and mark-making for a successful piece of art work for any skill level. https://artflowpasadena.weebly.com
Location: All classes take place UPSTAIRS in our CREATIVE SPACE unless otherwise noted. Use the exterior stairs on the side of the building to enter.
