Pieces were usually painted different shades of one color and glued on to a wood background to make a 3D art piece.

Description: Using a variety of small wood pieces, hardware, interesting ephemera, and paint, participants will glue shapes to a wood background to create a dimensional assemblage in the style of Nevelson.

Skill Building: Learning to design, stack and glue intricate 3D shapes; Introduction of monochromatic colors.

Materials Included: All necessary tools and materials.

Instructor: Sarena (she/they) is an artist, yogi, and self-compassion enthusiast! She has a BFA in animation and feels a profound sense of purpose through community-centered initiatives. Her favorite way to explore creativity is through “play”  where she tries to create without judgment, expectation, or rigidity. Sarena’s desire is to express herself with love & authenticity and to help others do the same – especially for the Queer and Neurodivergent community, through the wonderful world of art.
