Description: Discover the mesmerizing world of cyanotypes, a historic photographic process that traditionally uses sunlight to create stunning blue-and-white toned prints. In this workshop, you’ll learn how to make cyanotypes from start to finish. You’ll compose botanical or abstract designs, and develop prints using a UV light to replicate natural sunlight indoors. You’ll learn how to photo-sensitize your own paper, color-tone prints, and leave with a collection of beautiful cyanotypes and a take-home kit to continue exploring this solar-powered medium at home.

Materials Included: All necessary tools and materials.

Instructor: Lenny is a multidisciplinary artist with a BFA in Photography and a BA in Liberal Arts from Parsons School of Design in NYC. He has collaborated with top brands like Netflix, H&M, Burt’s Bees, and the Academy of Motion Pictures, while his fine art focuses on themes of social justice and inclusivity, he is also passionate about education. He teaches art to blind and visually impaired individuals at the Braille Institute, helping students unlock their creative potential through the transformative power of art.

Location: All classes take place UPSTAIRS in our CREATIVE SPACE unless otherwise noted. Use the exterior stairs on the side of the building to enter.
