Wed 3/5 Art Quilting 6pm
Wednesday - March 5 - 6:00-8:00pm
Ages: 14+
Description: This is an excellent class for those interested in an introduction to art quilting. Using a vast array of interesting fabrics, we’ll learn the basics of patchworking in a loose and artistic way by following a photo of your choice or just free wheeling. No experience is necessary to design a unique and artistic "quilt block" worthy of being called a work of art.
Materials Included: All necessary tools and materials, but feel free to bring any photos to follow.
Instructor: Caldwell Akers is a textile artist and designer specializing in quilted creations and functional outdoor gear. With nearly a decade of experience in show business and documentary production, they bring a unique perspective to creative design and craftsmanship. Based in Eagle Rock, Caldwell has been working this year to refine the technique of collaging with traditional patchwork patterns and is excited to share it with our community.
Location: All classes take place UPSTAIRS in our CREATIVE SPACE unless otherwise noted. Use the exterior stairs on the side of the building to enter.
Note: LATE ARRIVALS NOT ADMITTED ONCE CLASS HAS BEGUN
Class Refund Policy: Please email remainders.edu@gmail.com with your name and order number at least 48 hours before the class to receive a refund. A 20% cancellation fee applies.
Because we need time to fill vacant spots, there are no refunds with less than 48 hours notice.
