Description: This class is for those just starting out. Capoeira is a Brazilian art form that combines elements of martial arts, music, and dance. It is a dynamic and playful activity that helps people of all fitness levels develop physical coordination, strength, flexibility, as well as build community. Come ready to move in class in athletics-friendly clothing and bring a water bottle. Class is usually done barefoot on a dance floor.

Instructor: Arthur Fiu is a world-renowned capoeirista, winner of two world championships, and currently sponsored by Red Bull. He has been training capoeira his whole life, and began teaching in 2007. He holds the rank of Contra-Mestre, the second-highest rank in the capoeira world. He believes in discipline, community, and having fun while training hard.
Location: Room 7 dance studio at the back of the building, next to Donations. Entrance is down the driveway and to the left, facing the parking lot.
