Ages: 14+
Description: This class is for those who have taken Beginner Sewing 1 or know how to use a sewing machine. We cover what most machines can do, like stitch variations, stitch length and width, zig zag capabilities, gathering stitch, darning stitch, applying binding and blind hemming. Students will make a sampler of stitches to have for reference and a simple project if time permits.
Materials Included: Sewing machines, fabrics and all necessary tools and materials
Instructor: Megan Bright and has been sewing as a result of her grandmother’s inspiration, since 2004. She studied apparel design at university and moved to beautiful California in 2017 to pursue work in costume design. Currently, she enjoys teaching, sewing with friends, and working as an alterations specialist for red-carpet events.
Location: All classes take place UPSTAIRS in our CREATIVE SPACE unless otherwise noted. Use the exterior stairs on the side of the building to enter.
Note: LATE ARRIVALS NOT ADMITTED ONCE CLASS HAS BEGUN
