Description: In this stand-alone workshop, join facilitators from Typewriters Anonymous to explore tools and exercises for self-expression and building self-confidence. This workshop will combine writing prompts with on-your-feet theater games. Wear comfortable clothes you can move in. No experience required.

All Materials Included

Instructor: Typewriters Anonymous was founded by Phillip and Elisabeth Nails. They facilitate interactive experiences that provide people with a moment of mindfulness amidst the jubilee of togetherness. Phillip T. Nails (he/him/his) is a performance poet and founding director of Typewriters Anonymous. He holds a certificate in Social Emotional Arts & Healing Facilitation from UCLA’s Arts & Healing Initiative. Elisabeth Nails, MSW, PPSC (she/her) is a program specialist at the Los Angeles County Department of Arts and Culture where she manages Creative Wellbeing, an approach that integrates arts and mental health strategies to support social-emotional development, community connections, and healing from trauma.

Location: All classes take place UPSTAIRS in our CREATIVE SPACE unless otherwise noted. Use the exterior stairs on the side of the building to enter.

Note: LATE ARRIVALS NOT ADMITTED ONCE CLASS HAS BEGUN
