DIY Notebook

Who else gets tons of random catalogs 🖐️

We recently received a catalog for some dutch flower bulbs with illustrations too beautiful to be sent to the recycle! We were inspired to make a quick DIY notebook.

Materials needed:

Paper, Glue, Clips, Scissors, Stapler (you may need a long arm depending on the size of your notebook), Bone folder (optional)

Directions: This is for a quick notebook! Things are exact and we think it gives it charm :)

  1. Cut and fold paper: Get your scrap paper (it can be anything, lined, colored) and fold it in half, creating the notebook pages. If you have a bone folder use it to create a really crisp fold. If you need to improvise you can use a butter knife, or anything really hard to press down for a good crease!

  2. Decide your notebook size: from itty bitty to rectangular to whatever size, shape suits your notebook design. Cut your paper to that size.

  3. Cover Sheet: Do you have something special you would like to use as the cover? Cardstock, wallpaper samples, fancy paper? You decide.

  4. Gluing: Personally we like to glue the cover to the inside notebook pages for more structure but it is optional.

  5. Stapling: Staple the book in the fold crease, making sure you are going through the cover and the inside pages.

We had most of the supplies but we needed some extra paper from our store! Come on in and get your paper 📗 📘 🌸 Our paper section is a #diynotebook lovers dream!
